What is GMB, and do I need it for my business?

GMB stands for Google My Business, and the best part about GMB – it is FREE. That’s right, you heard me correctly – FREE! If you haven’t already claimed your GMB, we will tell you how to do so and why you should, and you don’t need to have a website.

How to Claim your GMB.

The first thing to do is make sure you have a Google account, so if you don’t already have one, Sign Up, it’s free too. Once you have signed up for a Google account (or if you already have one), do a Google search for your business. If Google already knows about you, you should see it on the right side of your screen. If your business has not been claimed, you will see ‘Suggest an edit ยท Own this business?’. Click on the ‘Own this business,’ and you will begin the process of claiming it.

Why do I need a GMB?

Having a GMB allows you to make regular posts about your business and services, plus it allows your customers to leave reviews. This is extremely important, as many potential customers/clients choose where to spend their money based on others’ reviews.

Do you need help with your GMB? We can help you with claiming, verifying, making sure it is set up correctly for your business and local location, plus we can make regular posts on your behalf.
